Fourth Friday Fun Challenge for May

Welcome to this month’s Fourth Friday Fun Challenge.  This month we want to see the frilly, feminine you.  Show us your girly side with projects that are sugar and spice and everything nice.  Whatever you think is girly goes.

Just link your project using the cute little froggy link (at the end of the post) by midnight Friday, June 4.   The project should be a newly created one – no fair linking up old posts.  🙂

One entry will be drawn randomly to win this super cute (and feminine) Kraftin Kimmie stamp called Clara and the Bird.  If you have any trouble linking – just leave a comment and we’ll make sure you get in the prize drawing.

For my feminine card – I decided to use pink and flowers (both are girly right?).  I also used some kraft paper (maybe not so feminine), but punched it to make it look lacy to up the girly factor.  I decided to use the sketch from the Cardvarks blog.   (Of course I changed the square to a circle and flipped the sketch upside down…. hope they don’t mind)

I used the Peony Digital Stamp set for both the image and the sentiment. The peony is colored with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used.  The image and mattes are cut with Spellbinders dies.  For the sentiment I used Labels 11.

The pink (Razzleberry Medium) cardstock is stamped with the Cover-a-Card Quilt background in Cloud white Versamagic ink.  I love those big backgrounds!

I punched the kraft paper with the Parisian Border punch.  For the strip at the top – I punched one side, then I lined up the punched diamonds to punch the other side and got a strip with no solid middle (the hard part was applying adhesive!).

So that is my feminine card.  Here is some girly inspiration from the design team.  Make sure you visit their blogs for all the details:

Andrea made this amazing project using a Sweet Chips folding house and the October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper pad.  So adorable!

Erin made the super cute card with the Greeting Farm Darling Sisters stamp set.  She used the October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper pad too.  Isn’t the paper piecing just perfect?

This beautiful card was made by Linda.  She used the Kraftin Kimmie Marie Antionette stamp set.  Its so beautiful – with just perfect embellishment.

Tricia created this beautiful, elegant card using the Tulip Digi stamp set (its a freebie!) and the Pink Paislee 365 Degree paper pad.  Just lovely!

Amber created this lovely card using the Let Them Eat Cake clear set.  Beautiful – it looks good enough to eat!

This card made by Tangii uses an adorable stamp from Kraftin Kimmie called Gabrielle.   And look what Tangii did with the layout and the pearls?  Its perfect.

Alyssa created this beautiful card using the Flourishes Strawberry set.  I love the way she colored and matted the strawberries – and those wonderful summer colors!

We can’t wait to see all of your girly creations – so go ahead and link them up!
