Rock the Farm

farmgirl1Ahhh… blooming daffodils and perennials coming up – it must be spring.

Here is a little pocket card (perfect for a gift of seeds).

The image is from the Rock the Farm cling set from the Greeting Farm. (The sentiment is from the Penny Black Salutations set).

gffarmmarkers The Anya farmer girl image is colored with Copics. (Anya is so fun to color!!). Here are the markers I used in case inquiring minds want to know.  (Yikes!  E-37 is upside down).

farmgirl2insideTo make the pocket card, I used a piece of cardstock cut 12″ x 4 1/4″ and scored it at 2″ and 7 1/2″.

Fold the 2″ portion up to make the pocket and the larger flap over the top to make the card front. My pocket is decorated with a brown cardstock strip punched with the Threading Water border punch. I added the strip to the pocket back and then adhered to the two sides of the pocket. I also decorated the card front with the same punched strip.

To create the sentiment, I pressed my brown ink pad all over my Double Ended Tag Die before I cut and embossed it – that gave it the brown tag edges.  The brads I had were a very light blue – so I darkened them up a bit by coloring them with my BG-72 marker.

The little heart flower inside is alo part of the Rock the Farm set.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Birthday party and challenges.

I miss all the excitement already!
