Have a “mice” Halloween

HMhalloween450pxWhat a cute bunch of Halloween mice (I think one is checking out his candy haul).  Did you have one of those pumpkin buckets growing up?

My oldest DD still loves her pumpkin bucket.  She won’t use anything else.  DH has to bring along a bag to dump the bucket into when it gets full.  (Hmmm…. maybe its just a ploy so she doesn’t have to carry a heavy bag…..)

I made this card using 4 stamps from the House Mouse Halloween Clear stamp set.   I was so impressed with how nice and clear these super detailed images stamped.

hmhallomaskI masked the pumpkin bucket of the butterfly mouse so I could group the stamps closer together.  (Sorry – started coloring the nose a little before I thought to take a picture).

mousemarkerI colored my 3 little mice with Copics.  I decided I wanted each mouse to be a little different color combo (just for fun).  Here are the colors I used (each row is a set I used on one of the mice).  (Sorry about that yellow background – yikes)

detailsmarkerIn case inquiring minds want to know, here are the other colors I used. Plus BV0000 and BV00 that I forgot to include in the pic somehow.  I added clear Copic Spica Glitter pen to the butterfly wings – so fun!

I used the Prism cardstock from Halloween Happiness paper pack .  Prism has such great, rich colors.

I punched the purple layer with the Zig Zag stitch edger punch.   (I really like the little embossed stitches.)  Then I added 3 brads and and dabbed on some Peeled Paint Distress Stickles.

So – that is my first ever House Mouse card.  Those mice are fun!

In other news – The Paper Garden Projects store is having a 20% off sale on tools(Spellbinders, Cuttlebug, Punches and more).  So if you want some fun, fancy border punches – now is a great time.

We also have 25% off Copic Markers – including the new pale colors.  So far, the BV0000 and the YG0000 are my favorites, but that is subject to change! I like adding a little shadow with the BV0000, and I’m just a big fan of anything yellow-green.
