I’m a little nervous, but I thought I’d share with you all my very first attempt at a digi stamp.
I have been taking a pencil drawing class and I decided to experiment with converting one of my still life drawings into pen and ink – and then into a digi stamp.
For my card with the stamp, I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the Fall Frolic Prism cardstock collection. The background is stamped with the Decorative Tile stamp in Versamark ink.
The image used in this card is 4.5″ wide. You can probably make it a little smaller if you need to, but too much smaller and the shaded areas will start to black out (because the original drawing was so big). You can download the image here.
I also have a larger (5″ wide) version with a “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment included. You can download that image here.

I made the image from this original pencil sketch of a still life.
I even grew the little pumpkin myself – which might explain why it is so little. The pitcher came from my first ever visit to Ikea.

I then created an ink rendering of the sketch on vellum and scanned it into photoshop to manipulate the size. Whew – that was a lot of little dots, dashes and squiggles!
I’m sure there is an easier way – I hope I discover it soon!
I know it just a simple little digi stamp – but it represents a considerable chunk of my time to create it (about 22 hours all together – not including weeding the pumpkins and shopping at Ikea).
So I would REALLY appreciate it if you gave Paper Garden Projects credit if you decide to use it. And if you make something – please leave a comment. I’d love to see your creations.
I would also appreciate any feedback on how the image worked for you. I’m supplying it as a JPG, but eventually may be able to supply other file types (let me know what kind you need).
