First… just a quick reminder that you still have till midnight tonight to join in the Girly Challenge for a chance to win an awesome Kraftin Kimmie stamp. See post below….
And I want to give a big “Thank You” to Inlinkz for helping to solve my linking problem. Turns out it was my fault (can I tell you – I am not surprised by this). I posted the froggy linky thing on both the side bar and on the post page trying to make it easier for people to play. Turns out you can’t have it up twice. So now its fixed and is linking just fine. Thanks Inlinkz for the awesome customer service!
So do you have a favorite flower? Mine is the peony. But I do have this love/hate relationship with roses.
It is getting more “lovey” since more disease resistant varieties have come out. All the roses left in my yard are the ones that can survive with minimal fussing (I can barely get my hair cut on a regular schedule – no way am I going to have a rose “spray program”. Besides I’m very worried about the bees.) I still have my favorites though…. that are worth the thorns.
I mean, pink roses are nice….
And red have their place….
White can be just lovely…
But yellow roses…. simply sublime….

So pretty! I have a peach rose that is just getting ready to bloom – everything is a bit behind here in Colorado due to a couple of cold snaps. I just planted a bunch of new geraniums, marigolds and geum this morning!
I love yellow roses, they are *almost* my favorite. My favorite are a variety that grew in my mother’s rose garden when I was a child: they were a beautiful peach color with fuschia tips on the petals – simply stunning
