Well…. it has to be virtual coffee….
So here is my cup of Joe, using the IO Latte Cup cling stamp and Basic Grey Koshi papers. I love this stamp. It was the one that introduced me to Leigh Hannan’s designs over at IO – and now I’m addicted (to the stamps and to coffee I think…)
And that chat….
If you are one of my 4 regular blog visitors (Hi Mom!!), you might have noticed a distinct lack of posting recently.
There are a mix of reasons. I hurt my back and couldn’t sit for long – so blogging was tough (all better now though). We have had a bunch of summer activities (like everyone I bet). The garden has been keeping me busy (I’ve already canned beets, pickles and froze green beans).
But the main reason is it finally hit me how fast my kids are growing up. J will be in 5th grade this year. She is a great kid, but the tween attitude is creeping in. I figure I better spend some time with her now before she wants nothing to do with me! Ohhh…. those teen years are looming.
So I’m making a conscience effort to set aside other things to do activities with the kids this summer. Its hard for me not to craft, blog, post tutorials, etc. But I think its the right thing to do right now.
Oh, I’m sure I’ll still sneak in a project here and there. And I’m still adding new goodies to the store. But I’ve given the DT the month of July off to have some summer fun too. We’ll all be back in August with some nifty Fall and Back to School projects, challenges and contests.
(I made a digi scrap page! Another little project I’m working on this summer. I’m taking web classes at the Jessica Sprague site. Love her classes. Totally not affiliated in any way. I’m sure she has no idea who I am. But really she does an excellent job teaching how to use photoshop for digi scrapping.)

I was injured late last year and had issues crafting and being on the computer. It really makes you think about the important things in life and it certainly made me rearrange my priorities. I was telling my husband yesterday that my youngest and I snuggled on the couch and that I loved it. They are growing up too fast and the “baby” is now 6! I wanted to stay home with the kids but struggled with being home and not bringing in a paycheck for a long time before I finally realized how lucky I am to be with my girls all the time. We have had a blast this summer and even though I need a serious break from time to time, I will miss them terribly come August 9th when they go back to school.
Oh and I love Jessica Sprague and have taken a class on her site. I really should scrapbook more!
So sorry to hear you hurt your back! I’m glad it’s better now!!
Love your cute card, so adorable! Time does fly with the kiddos, I’ll be around whenever you pop in!!
just because I don’t always post doesn’t mean I don’t stop by to see what is up… so sorry to hear about your back. but glad to hear you are feeling better now.
my sons have been away all summer working with their dad at the camp where he is the director. then my 2 oldest head off to college in just a few more weeks. they grow up so very quick… hold them tight and enjoy the time together.
they are truly days you will look back on and treasure!
What a cute card! The stamp looks great with that paper! Your creations have been missed but I’m glad that you are spending time with your family and hope your back is feeling better!
Bright & cheery card! Hope you are feeling better. Enjoy the summertime–it goes so fast.
