Just wanted to pop in and let you know I have another new Digital craft kit – Paisley Partridge – in my DigiChick store. For today and tomorrow, its on sale as a new release.
This kit focuses on card and hybrid crafting, but can be used for digital scrapping as well. The tags and labels in the kit are designed to coordinate with Spellbinders(TM) Nestibilities(R) die templates and tag templates. They specifically coordinate with Labels 4, Ovals (with a wide border tag to make scalloped ovals easy), Ribbon slide trio, and double ended tag trio.
The kit includes a greeting card template (in both pure digital and hybrid formats). I used the template to make the card at the start of this post. Here is how I laid out my card elements before I printed and assembled the card (I used the hybrid format).
I duplicated the focal image mat and shrank it down a little to create a sentiment for the inside of my card.
I used my double ended tag die to cut out the sentiment for the front. I just rough cut out the image and line up the “hole” in the center with the white image edges. I put on little bits of painters tape to make sure nothing shifts while I’m putting the die through my Cuttlebug.
I’m really loving this (truth be told – I made this for me!! LOL!). I have this obsession with making colored borders for these little tags. I used to emboss one in white and cut out the center with a craft knife – just so I could layer the sentiment on a colored tag. This is soooo much easier – I love it! (I know – I’m easily amused….)
I hope everyone in the USA is having a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and friends. We have a tradition where we make a homemade ornament after Thanksgiving dinner (it give us time to get hungry for dessert!). I really enjoy seeing all the past year’s ornaments when we put up out Christmas tree.
Well – this year we are going to try clear glass ball ornaments – I *think* the girls are old enough…
Make sure you come back for Cyber Monday – we have some juice news for you!
