For those of you who live in the Philadelphia area, Paper Garden Projects is having a card making class fundraiser to raise money for Heifer International. The proceeds of the class will be going towards Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s efforts to fund an “Ark”. Ohhhh….. totally fun! I just got these Watercolor Garden Stamps from Art Impressions in the Paper Garden Projects store. I started playing with them and had so much fun I decided to design my whole card class around that set! Really – they are just so fun! Its a series of clear images that you create garden scenes with. You stamp with dye inks on watercolor paper and then use a water brush to blend and mute the colors. Here are my samples for my card class at the end of the month. We are concentrating on stamping in color (although I just couldn’t resist a little coloring in!) and on decorating the inside of the cards (and even the envelopes). I’m also including a few embellishments we have not used yet – microbeads on the birthday candles and a tied button on the hello card. Well, here is what I came up with for my Valentine class. I ended up with 4 cards and a little nugget box. I started with two patterns of Bo Bunny Smitten paper. Its so pretty – all shimmery with great colors. While it is all the same color palette, I tried to make different styles of cards – so hopefully there is something everyone likes.
