Vintage look with Impressibilities
I thought I’d share the Mother’s Day card I made (since Mom’s Day is over). I got to use my new Impressibility Dies! And I was experimenting with making a vintage fabric kind of look. The rose image is from the Greeting Farm Fancy Fluers set. I stamped it with Memento Rich Tuxedo ink and colored it with Copics. My favorite way to color with Copics is to lay down a light color for a base and than add darker tones for shading. I then go back and blend the darker tones...

I love these cute fairy stamps from Eat cake Graphics. The drawings are so whimsical and fun to color! The Flower Fairies cling set has 5 different fairy stamps – all adorable!. I decided to perch my fairy on a little magical mushroom from the Fairy Fauna cling set - so she could deliver her birthday wishes in style. The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Sentiments I clear set. I like that all those words are separate so I can arrange my own saying. The image is...

Is there anything cuter than baby clothes? (I especially love the little shoes!). I decided to try my hand at embellishing a little infant T-shirt. I chose to use the Pink Cat Studio stamp from the Farmyard Friends kit. I stamped the image in Palette ink and heat set it with an iron. (I placed a piece of cardstock between the shirt layers to make sure the ink didn’t bleed through.) I colored my image with Copic markers. Now, this is a little tricky because the Copic ink will...

I love this image and the saying that goes with it! These stamps are part of the Letter to Santa Cling set (the stamps are from Eat Cake Graphics – love that snowman too!). I colored the image with Copics. I was having a lot of trouble with my ink migrating outside my ink lines. What’s going on?? Then it dawned on me – I grabbed the paper I used from my scrap pile. I have my favorite white cardstock that I use with the Copics (its the cardstock in the store). ...

I decided the Gnome Home from Odd Bird Planet needed a little sprucing up for the Holidays. I was in a bit of a goofy mood and my decorating went a little over the top, but I thought I’d share it anyway. Here is my finished product. I used a bunch of different Odd Bird Planet stamps in my little creation. In case inquiring minds want to know – here’s what I did. First I stamped the Gnome Home in Tuxedo Memento ink. Then I masked it with eclipse...

That’s what my calendar says anyway. I really love Fall. I always thought New Years should be in fall. Its my favorite time to take stock of where I am and set new goals. And I have a bunch of them (LOL!). One of them is to slow down and appreciate what I have more. An important goal I think – unfortunately, it seems to conflict with my 49 other goals (hey – a girl can dream can’t she?). About the card… I usually stick to pretty standard card sizes, but...
