Treat drawing winner and some DT loveliness

Hi all!

Thank you everyone who shared their treat ideas with me.  It looks like there are a lot of fudge fans out there.  I’ve actually never made fudge (believe it or not).  Maybe this is my year.  My DD’s are looking for small gifts to give friends.  We were going to do molded chocolates – but now I’m thinking fudge!

So…. the winner of the drawing is Linda C who said:   “WOW! What a beauty! We have a couple of favorites, good old fudge and pecan tarts.”  Linda – I sent you your digi stamps.

OK…. so you have to check out the beautiful work DT members Clare and Alyssa have posted.  Sigh….. they are so talented….

Here is Clare’s card using the Christmas Foilage Digi set.  I love the vintage-y feel and all the awesome details – the stitching, the lace, the inked edges…. just lovely.  Clare shares the details for making it over at her blog .

Then Alyssa created this little beauty using the Kraftin Kimmie stamp Piper.  This (and Clara) are 2 of my all time favorite Kraftin Kimmie stamps.  I just love her slightly rumpled, I-need-some-coffee look.  So cute!

Alyssa paper pieced her and shaded the papers – it looks amazing!  You can get more details over at her blog.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!  We are getting ready for Thanksgiving here and the kids have had half days.

If you get a spare moment – pop over the the Paper Garden Projects store.  We are having our Simply Super sale.  Everything in the store is 23% off – even the digi stamps.  The sale is on in stock items only and ends the 30th.

A Little Summer Break

We are taking a little family summer break.  :)

We are planning a few fun trips, a few family visits - and maybe tackle a few of those projects that have been hanging around the house forever!   Possibly a trip to the beach is in order.

I will be around to answer e-mail (and maybe sneak in a blog post or two…).

But…

Any orders placed in the store after Sunday, July 25 won’t be shipped until Monday, August 9th.

I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience.  I’ve found that running the store, while fun, can be very demanding.  Taking a break from it once a year keeps it fresh.  Its always exciting to dive back in after being away for a while.

Speaking of diving –  what do you think of Jack?  I think he is pretty cute in his retro swim suit.  I colored him with Copics – for some reason I was in the mood for orange.

For the blue background, I stamped the Cover-a-card Circle Swirl background stamp  in white ink.  Then I just added the sandcastle that comes with Jack as a little accent.

Speaking of Jack – Rachel H won the Jack at the beach stamp for sharing her opinions on digi stamps.  Rachel – I sent you an e-mail.

Fourth Friday Fun Challenge for June

Hi all,

Its another 4th Friday – so time for another challenge!
(Sorry to be late – no internet connection all day!)

Its getting mighty hot in these here parts…. (OK – I’m here in Philadelphia, guess I better lose the western accent). But honestly, it is pretty hot, like 98 degrees.  And us without any air conditioning – we just might have to go to the mall!

So for this month, we want to see projects that make us feel cooler.   Whether that is cool colors (like blue and green), or cool images (like swimming, ice cream or even snowmen).  Anything you think is cool goes.

Just add a link to your card using the cute froggy face at the bottom of this post.  One random winner will be chosen to recieve this new, very cool Kraftin Kimmie stamp – Tubing Miles.  You have until midnight (EST) on Friday July 2 to link up your creation!

For my “cool” card, I chose a day at the beach.  This sassy girl is Florence from Kraftin Kimmie.  She makes me smile.  I paired her with Basic Grey Green At Heart paper and Prism cardstock.  She is colored with copics.

The sentiment is from my stash (River City I think).  The inside says “and most of it was your fault”.  Hee heee…  I used some paper scraps to pretty it up a bit…

Be sure to check out all the clever projects by the Design Team!
