What a nice jar….

So… I was rinsing out a little mustard jar so I could put the glass in the recycling and thought… “this jar is kind of cute”.

I bet you know where this is going already….

valowljar1So here is my quick little mustard jar project.

I spray painted the lid with some gold paint I had to cover the writing.  Then I cut out a series of circles using Nestibility dies to layer on the lid.

I used the Odd Bird Planet Valentine Friends Cling set for the little business owl (he just cracks me up).  I colored him with Copics.  When I cut the circle for the image, I left the die in place and inked the background with Vintage Photo Distress ink and a duster brush to get the colored background and white edge.

valowljar2I used the  Owl Love You Forever cling set for the sentiment (also from Odd Bird Planet).   I just created the tag by layering rectangles with rounded corners.  I punched 2 holes at the top of the tag and tied it on the jar with ribbon.  The jar is filled with M&Ms.

So there is my little recycling project.   I have no idea who to give it to, but it has chocolate so I bet I can find someone :)

Speaking of Chinese New Year, its the year of the cow you know…. so I decided to share a “whats moo?” card with you.

All of the stamps are by Odd Bird Planet.  Its colored with Copic Markers.  The patterned paper is a DCWV from my stash and the cardstock is Prism.
