Ever have one of those days??

Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned….

I’ve always LOVED this witch image  by Eat Cake Graphics.  I particularly love that the witch carries a cell phone – and that her shoes came off (I always do her with fancy red toe nails)!

I did the “out of the box” technique (where the image hangs outside the box sides).  I thought it would make the crash look – well, more “crash-y”.  In case inquiring minds want to know, here is what I used for this card.

As for things not going as planned… well it just that as usual,  I’m way behind and chasing my tail.  Too many ideas and not enough time.

I think just about every Mom of young kids on the planet can relate.  We are still perfecting our back to school schedule (yeah… that’s what we’re doing…. perfecting.  It only looks like complete chaos trying to get lunches made, permission slips signed, homework packed and squealing the van out of the driveway to get DD #1 to band practice by 7:45.   Give me a week and this will all be smooth as silk…)

I have some new fall digi stamps in the works (and if I don’t make more progress – there will be snow on the ground before I can get them done!).  And I know I have not sent out a newsletter  in a while (that’s in the works too).

You still have time to join the Halloween Garden Walk Blog Hop.  There is another cute Eat Cake Graphics stamp set up for grabs as a prize.

And don’t forget to pop over to the store and check out the new fall and winter goodies – there are some very cute Penny Black sets that I can’t wait to play with.

Oh… and Girl Scout camp was fun!  Part of it was training for adult leaders.  We did some campfire cooking and made corn bread muffins in a foil lined cardboard box.  How cool is that?

Getting ready for a cardmaking weekend…

witchcardAre you ready for World Card Making Day this weekend?

Along with cardmaking, I’m hoping to get a start on some holiday paper craft projects.  (I have some from last year that I didn’t finish – can you believe it??  LOL)

Although, I’ve been having so much fun with Halloween projects this year – I might still do a couple more of those.

This simple card was made with the Best Witches cling stamp set (the images are Eat Cake Graphics) and some scraps of paper left over from last year (I’m sorry to see it almost gone – I loved that paper!).  I think this witch is really enjoying the party!

Its colored with Copics.  I cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and embossed.  Before I removed the die, I masked the image and inked the background with Peeled Paint Distress ink using a duster brush.  The sentiment tab is made with an ancient punch that is not working very well anymore.  May have to find a new one!

wcmbadgeI just wanted to remind you of our World Cardmaking Challenge for Saturday.  We are partying along with PaperCraft Planet and will post the actual challenge at 4:00 pm.

If you would like to see the prize package, check out this post.  You might even get a clue to the challenge from the prize package……….

Also, our tool sale is still going on in the Paper Garden Projects Store.  The new Spellbinder tag dies are back in stock and still on sale.

And don’t forget about our Design Team Call – we’d love to see your stuff.

I’m just full of news today….  Well, I’m off to prep for the card making fundraiser tomorrow – cardstock to cut and supplies to pack.  Hope everyone has a delightful day!

Bippity Boppity Boo!

bippity1Yes!  Even more new Eat Cake Graphics images.

I bet these two witchy sisters stir up all kinds of trouble in their little black cauldron  (they never mean to, it just sort of happens…..)

But they also make the best chicken noodle soup in town….  so they are always forgiven.

(OK…. enough making up stories about the stamps….)

I used the  Bippity Boppity Boo cling stamp set to make the card.  The images are colored with Copic Markers.  The paper is from the Halloween Happiness Prism paper pack.

I stamped the purple with the Tin Patterned background stamp in Versamark ink just to give it a little texture.

The sentiment is cut out with a Nestibilities oval dies.  I inked the paper with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink and a duster brush before I removed the cutting die.  The little flower is from a pack I picked up at a stamp convention years ago and recently “rediscovered” while cleaning my craft room. (opps….)

I heard a rumor that Eat Cake is coming out with new winter images too.  I’ll keep ya posted!
