Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I thought I’d quick share the Valentine’s Day treat boxes I made for my dd’s (and dh).
Since my girls love dogs so much, I decided to use some of the Rowley stamps from Eat Cake Graphics.
The papers are from the Folkart Love Digital paper pack and I used some 3″ square clear boxes to hold the treats.
Quick and easy – and I’m sure they’ll love the sweet stuff!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s day!
OK, I admit its different….
I just felt like my regular old mailbox…..
could use a little something…..
My mailbox has this front insert that you can use to change the color of the mailbox – just by slipping in these different colored plates. So I got the idea to create my own insert.
I needed to include my address, so I created the sign in Illustrator and printed it out. Then I added a bunch of winter kids stamps from Eat Cake Graphics. I also included the winter neighborhood stamp in the background. Plus I added some critters – the dog, the squirrel and the bird are all Eat Cake Graphics too.
I colored all the images with Copic Markers. I mounted my little scene on red cardstock, and then on snowflake patterned paper from the Penguin Pals Patterns O’Plenty digital paper pack.
I mounted the whole thing on mat board and coated it with a moisture resistant spray sealer with UV protection. My porch is very protected, but I’m thinking I might coat it with Modge Podge and spray it with the sealer again just to give it a little more protection.
So… do you think the mailman will notice?
Oh.My.Word. Three weeks since a post? Really? How did that happen??
Sigh…. Well, I’ve been very busy with some good stuff so I’m hoping its OK I’ve been gone for a while.
First – I’ve thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the Eat Cake Graphics Design team! I’m so excited. Anyone who reads this blog (Hi Mom!) knows what a big fan I am of Holly’s awesomely whimsical drawings. I just love them.
I already have an idea for my first project – its a rather unusual home decor item. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes. (The card above was made with the Eat Cake Stamp “Big Dog with Kids” – of course!)
I’m also really looking forward to getting to know all the other team members. Here’s a little list 🙂

In other news… I’m working on some new digi products (and having such fun). I’ll have a new release in a week or so – I hope you like it. Here is a little sneak peek:
And… I’m taking this awesome new course on Surface Design with Rachel Taylor. Its called the Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design. The next class starts up at the end of the month and its about finding your style. I’m so excited to get started on it.
So… busy with lots of new stuff! Anyone else starting new things this year? I’d love to hear about it!
Little Sophie has entered the digital age….
For this card, I combined a stamped Eat Cake Graphics image with papers, tags and a ribbon slide printed from my new Paisley Partridge digital kit.
The tags and slides in the kit are sized to coordinate with Spellbinders(R) Nestibilities(TM) die templates. There is a large border version of the oval accommodate the scalloped oval dies. I love that I can just pop the cutting die over the printed papers, emboss, cut and have a perfect element. (I do like to hold the die in place with a couple bits of painter’s tape so I don’t accidentally shift the paper when cutting.)
Its no secret that I adore Eat Cake Graphics images. I just love the whimsy…. Good news! Holly has some new images out. A cute “Waiting in Line for Santa” series and some winsome penguins. You can see the new stuff here.
One last word – there is a special coupon for Face Book fans to save on all digital kits and digital stamps in my Digichick store. You can check it out on the Facebook Fan page.
I hope everyone has a very merry, fun, and relaxing Christmas!
We are taking a little time off from the store to enjoy time with our family. So any orders placed between now and Sunday, January 2 will ship on January 3. We will still be around to answer questions and the digital downloads are always available.
Well, I only had 2 entries in the free digi Alyssa’s Stocking contest – so I decided to award both of them a prize for being such good sports – and for creating such beautiful cards.
You can see Viv’s beaututiful creation here.
And Cindy’s lovely work here.
Merry Christmas everyone!
